Community Conversations: Race and Equity at E.L. Haynes – Session 1

October 19 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

About

Silence about race reinforces racism by letting young people draw their own conclusions based on what they see. You can play a powerful role in helping children of all ages develop positive attitudes about race and diversity, and the skills to promote a more just future—but only if we talk about it!

Join the first in a three-part series called “Community Conversations: Race and Equity at E.L. Haynes,” on Thursday, October 19, from 5:30 – 7 p.m. at our Kansas Avenue Campus. In partnership with The Canizales Group, we designed this three-part series specifically for E.L. Haynes families. During each session, you will learn how to help your children build positive relationships and connections with people from other cultures. Sessions will be fully bilingual in Spanish and English.

To make sure as many families can participate as possible, we will provide all participants with dinner and childcare during the meeting. Please check ParentSquare for the link to RSVP. If you would like interpretation in a different language, please email Alicia Robinson at arobinson@elhaynes.org. We will welcome all walk-ins.
