Kristin Yochum has lived and worked in Washington, D.C. for nearly 20 years. She joined E.L. Haynes in 2015, welcoming the opportunity to support education at the local level after more than 15 years supporting and advocating for students at the state and federal levels. Prior to E.L. Haynes, Kristin spent ten years working in public service and education as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Office of the State Superintendent of Education and as Director of Operations for the DC Department of Employment Services. At the federal level, Kristin advocated for students in charter schools as the Director of Intergovernmental Relations at the National Alliance of Public Charter Schools and for safe data practices as the Director of Federal Advocacy for the Data Quality Campaign. She received a Bachelor’s of Arts in Politics from Fairfield University and a Master’s of Public Administration from American University.
