Brandan Persaud

Brandan Persaud, Assistant Director of Student Support Services, began his teaching career in Chicago teaching 9th-grade Humanities and Special Education. Mr. Persaud soon learned that he also had a passion for working with in-service teachers by facilitating their learning on topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism. Additionally, Mr. Persaud has taught and co-taught 10th Grade US History, 11th Grade Civics, and 12th Grade Math courses. Mr. Persaud understands the true meaning of a co-teaching relationship and how important collaborating with others is to serve students best. In addition to his role at E.L. Haynes, Mr. Persaud is a doctoral candidate at American University’s School of Education where he will be earning his Doctorate in Educational┬áLeadership and Policy in May 2023. He also holds an adjunct instructor appointment in the School of Education at American University.
