Brandan Persaud

Brandan Persaud, Assistant Director of Student Support Services, began his teaching career in Chicago teaching 9th-grade Humanities and Special Education. Mr. Persaud soon learned that he also had a passion for working with in-service teachers by facilitating their learning on topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism. Additionally, Mr. Persaud has taught and co-taught 10th Grade US History, 11th Grade Civics, and 12th Grade Math courses. Mr. Persaud understands the true meaning of a co-teaching relationship and how important collaborating with others is to serve students best. In addition to his role at E.L. Haynes, Mr. Persaud is a doctoral candidate at American University’s School of Education where he will be earning his Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy in May 2023. He also holds an adjunct instructor appointment in the School of Education at American University.
