We welcome families from across DC to join our community. Here you find information about the (re)enrollment process. For both new and returning students, enrollment begins April 1 and is generally due May 1 for all students.
Secure your child’s seat for next year.
New and returning families must complete enrollment in the Spring to secure their seat for the next year. This year, families with new students must complete enrollment by May 1, and families with returning students must complete re-enrollment by May 19. We share this information with families in the Spring.

New student enrollment takes place each Spring for students who are matched with E.L. Haynes through the My School DC common lottery at the end of March or receive a waitlist offer between May and September.
We love welcoming back our returning students!
Re-enrollment happens each Spring for all DC public school students, including our returning students. This process begins in April and must be complete by mid-May each year to secure the seat for the next school year. Stay tuned for more information about how to complete the process.
