At Kansas Avenue, Georgina Palma isn’t “the operations coordinator” to anyone under age 10 — she’s Aden’s mom, full stop. At Georgia Avenue, she’s the one middle schoolers look for the second something feels off. Four years at Haynes, and she’s built two different kinds of trust at the same time. 💛

Here’s her secret, straight from her: “When I start something, I complete the task.” That’s it. That’s the whole philosophy — and she’ll tell you it’s exactly what makes anyone succeed at Haynes: “Somebody that follows through on what they started from beginning to end, and also has that attention to detail to the small things that sometimes other people don’t notice.”

What does that look like day to day? Making sure the printers work. Making sure the coffee creamer someone likes is actually in the lounge. Making sure that when a teacher runs out of pencils, there’s a system — and it works. Small stuff, sure. But small stuff, done every single day without fail, is the whole reason a school runs smoothly.

She didn’t come to Haynes for any of that, though. She came because she wanted to work more closely with families — and four years later, that’s still the throughline, just multiplied across two buildings’ worth of drop-offs, pick-ups, Cafe ROAR mornings, and ROAR league games.

Haynes rewards that kind of consistency, too. Georgina’s picked up extra opportunities over the years — extended day work, this year’s teacher recruitment push — proof that showing up reliably here doesn’t go unnoticed.
