During the 2022-2023 School Year, we will offer before- and after-care at both our elementary and middle school. These programs are fully run by E.L. Haynes staff, and there is space for all interested students.

Do I have to participate every day?
No. When registering for before-care and after-care, you are able to identify a schedule that works best for you and your student.
Who runs Before-Care and After-Care?
Our Before-Care and After-Care programs are run by E.L. Haynes staff members. We do not outsource the program.
How much does the program cost?
The program is designed to be affordable for everyone who participates. There is a small registration fee for both elementary and middle school families. At the elementary school, families are charged a cost on a sliding scale, as well as based on the level of participation. At the middle school, the program is free to all participants. When we distribute registration information, we will also distribute the cost information.
What happens during Before- and After-Care?
Before-Care and After-Care are critical times for students to receive academic and homework support, alongside enrichment and relationship building with their peers. The mornings consist of breakfast and social engagement. Staff will support students with any outstanding homework, if necessary. In the afternoons, there will be dedicated time for academic and homework support, outdoor or social play, and enrichment activities. During this time, students will also participate in clubs and other extracurricular activities if they are signed up for them.
